What is Spindle Bobbins Crash Protection?

A stainless steel spindle rod attaches through the front wheel securing in place an aluminium spacer covered by a nylon bobbin head. EP’s innovative design allows the slider to flow with the impact grab while the strong aluminium is expected to be first to take impact, hoping to minimise damage to the front wheel end.
